Research

We are fortunate to have some really dedicated genealogists in our large family. I will post links to their research on this page when they give me permission.

I am not a member, but I hope it is OK for me to post here. I am trying to find information on an Ann S. Thrasher b. ca 1839 in GA. She married David C. Hyatt in Tallapoosa Co. AL in Dec 1860. She was living on her own in a hotel in Tallapoosa Co. AL for the 1860 census, so I have no clue who her parents might be. I found no Ann S. Thrasher of that age in AL prior to 1860, but I did find an S. A. Thrasher in the 1850 Benton (now Calhoun) Co. AL census, age 10, b. in AL. The father’s name looks to be Tho. Thrasher age 55, b. GA and wife J. age 30, b. SC. However, the 1850 AL state census calls him Tolbert Thrasher. I would love some help tracking this down.

I am trying to locate information on Isaac Thrasher Jr – married to Talitha Cox Browder. This is the Isaac who died in 1815 – child of Joseph Cloud Thrasher and Margaret. I have details from Cousins by the Dozens – but can’t seem to locate where he is buried and cause of death. If anyone has this information available to share, I would be most appreciative.
